2 Classes
26 StudentsJUPEB stands for “Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board”. It is a nationally recognized advanced level program whose results are acceptable in Nigeria and across West African countries
It is a 7 – month course that runs from November to May and every student is expected to choose only three subjects related to their courses for the program. For example, a prospective engineering student will pick three subjects of physics, chemistry and mathematic only.
Please note that admissions into the program are not limited to these months. Students have the opportunity to join the JUPEB class any time.
Similar to the Cambridge Advanced level program, successful candidates can process admissions into 200Level in
any university of their choice. However, the candidates must meet the admission requirements in terms of points. For instance,
medicine requires a minimum of 14 points before a candidate can be considered.
The grades and points accrued are listed below
70% – 100%, A, 5 Points
60% – 69%, B · 4 Points
50% – 59%, C · 3 Points
45% – 49%, D · 2 Points
40% – 44%, E · 1 Points
39% – 0%, F · 0 Points.
Candidate should not that University of Ibadan does not accept JUPEB results for direct entry.
